Directions
General directionsFrom Southampton (the M27) head west signposted Bournemouth. At junction 1on the M27 follow the signs for Lyndhurst. Travel through the village of Brockenhurst and then Lymington, head west out of Lymington (toward New Milton) for ~ 2 miles then take a left turn onto the B3058 sign posted for Milford-on-Sea. You soon will pass the South Lawn Hotel on your right and then the local school on your left, opposite the school take a right turn (signposted “to Baptist church”) into Manor road. Drive along Manor Road for a quarter of a mile until the road takes a sharp left turn, Briantcroft is then directly in front of you, turn right into George Road and immediate left into Briantcroft. A walk along the beach affords spectacular views of the Isle of Wight and across Christchurch bay to Bournemouth and the Purbecks. You can explore the creeks and historic castle at Keyhaven by foot, bike or boat trips. The salt marshes and nature reserves between Milford and Lymington provide ample opportunities to see the local wildlife. The historic town of Lymington provides an excellent range of shops, restaurants and has a busy Saturday street market, from here there are many trips; ferries to the Isle of Wight, bus services to other areas (eg Beaulieu and Christchurch) and tours into the new forest. The major holiday towns of Bournemouth and Poole are close by offering a full range of entertainments. While Southampton offer all facilities of a major regional centre.
